First sightseeing trip of your life?

It's not the first time you've mentioned you're not a sightseeing type of person, if my memory serves me well (Not on your blog, though. After all, you didn't visit the Eiffel tower when you were working in Paris, right?) Even though you seem a bit dispirited over your lack of enjoyment of this particular activity, I believe you should consider its positive side: you are wise enough to see overhyped locations for what they truly are, and not their more superficial, cliché aspect :-D
By the way, you didn't mention in your post where you've been sightseeing around. I admit I'm rather curious about that :-)
As for Sendai, I'm more than happy that you feel comfortable in the City of Trees. I wish I could come and enjoy its serene atmosphere as well (even at the train station)...
